How CompareMates Earns Money

CompareMates is an independent product comparison website. We earn affiliate commissions when you click through to a retailer and make a purchase. We never charge you anything — the commission comes from the retailer, not from your pocket.

This is how we fund the site, pay our team, and keep our product reviews and price comparisons free for everyone.

Affiliate Commission Does Not Affect Rankings

Our product rankings and recommendations are based entirely on product quality, value, and user needs — never on which retailer pays the highest commission. All products are ranked by our editorial standards regardless of affiliate earning potential.

If anything, we feature products with lower affiliate rates when they're genuinely the best option.

What "Sponsored" Means on CompareMates

When you see a Sponsored badge on a product or article, it means a brand has paid for that placement. Sponsored content appears only in clearly labelled "Featured" or "Promoted" sections, never mixed in with our organic, editorially-ranked products.

Our editorial rankings and "best of" lists are never influenced by sponsorship.

What "Advertisement" Means on CompareMates

Display ads (banners, cards) are clearly labelled Advertisement. They are separate from product content and never affect our rankings or recommendations.
